Last semester my research study was based on one platform Google. I would like to now study all the other cloud gaming platforms such as Shadow, GeForce Now, Vortex, Project Xcloud, etc. I will compare and contrast them and see if they can replace native gaming.
What is cloud gaming again?
Cloud gaming is an online service that streams video games from a remote server to a user's device without the need for the user to download the video game to the device. The user interacts with a video game through a cloud gaming client that is installed on a device that has a display, a computing platform, and network connectivity. A cloud gaming client acts as a remote control. Cloud gaming services are typically available from a web browser from a desktop computer, a cloud gaming client from a mobile device, or from dedicated hardware connected to a television. In some cases, cloud gaming servers host dedicated games which do not require a cloud gaming client for interaction with the video game.
